Job responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop and maintain data systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights.
- Utilize statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns.
- Support the development of data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
