Responsibilities: - Define and execute the company’s AI vision, roadmap, and technical strategy across multiple AI domains. - Lead and scale a high-performing AI engineering and algorithms team. - Drive the development of AI-powered capabilities, including: • Large Language Models (LLMs) • Intelligent customer interaction systems • Personalized recommendation systems • AI-native engineering productivity initiatives - Build scalable AI platforms, reusable infrastructure, and production-grade ML systems. - Lead deployment of recommendation and personalization pipelines, including: • Retrieval • Ranking • Re-ranking • Recommendation optimization - Architect and productionize LLM-powered applications leveraging: • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) • Fine-tuning • Agent frameworks • Multi-modal AI workflows • Enterprise knowledge systems - Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business leadership to align AI investments with measurable business impact. - Foster a strong engineering culture, technical standards, and talent development practices within the AI organization. - Stay ahead of emerging trends in generative AI, AI infrastructure, developer tooling, and applied AI systems. Requirements: Required: - Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines; advanced degrees preferred. - 8-15+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with prior experience leading technical teams or large-scale AI initiatives. - Proven experience deploying AI systems into production at scale. - Strong hands-on experience with recommendation systems, including: • Retrieval • Ranking • Re-ranking • Personalization systems - Deep practical experience building and deploying LLM applications, including: • Prompt engineering • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) • Fine-tuning • Agent workflows • AI evaluation frameworks - Experience building enterprise-grade AI knowledge systems and scalable AI infrastructure. - Strong business and product understanding, with the ability to translate AI capabilities into measurable operational impact. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: - Experience with leading global technology companies, large-scale consumer platforms, or AI-native organizations; MAANG backgrounds are highly preferred. - Experience building AI platforms, MLOps ecosystems, or internal AI infrastructure frameworks. - Familiarity with AI coding assistants and AI-native engineering workflows. - Mandarin Chinese language capability is highly preferred, as the role involves frequent collaboration with regional stakeholders and engineering teams across APAC.
