Company Overview OPay was founded in 2019 and provides Financial Services such as payment and digital wallets to customers in Africa and Asia. It also provides innovative financial technology solutions based on artificial intelligence and big data. Currently business covers countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, and Pakistan. OPay brings advanced financial technology into the local financial ecosystem through technological innovation, helps local enterprises digitally upgrade, and provides convenient financial services for a large number of unbanked people in Africa and the Middle East. After five years of development, OPay has gained significant market position in countries such as Nigeria and Egypt, becoming an important driving force for achieving inclusive finance locally. Since its establishment, OPay has received investment from many top domestic and foreign investment institutions. Among them, in November 2019, OPay completed a $120 million Series B financing, with investment institutions including Meituan Dragon Ball, Source Code Capital, IDG Capital, and Sequoia China. In 2021, it completed a $400 million Series C financing led by SoftBank Vision Fund, with participation from Meituan Dragon Ball Capital, Sequoia Capital, Redpoint China, Source Code Capital, SoftBank Asia Fund, and 3W Capital. Job Description – Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Responsibilities - Take full responsibility for listing-related matters, including but not limited to: - Approving financial statements - Managing public information disclosures - Overseeing pricing, IPO processes, and roadshows - Establish financial policies and rules that align with the development of overseas business, ensuring coordination between the company and regional operations. - Oversee financial management for regional companies in each country, including: - Financial team leadership - Operational management - Budget supervision and management - Track and analyze the achievement of financial indicators and budgets, providing timely identification and early warning of potential operational and management issues to support senior decision-making. - Participate in major company decisions, offering forward-looking insights and recommendations regarding finance, capital, risk control, and policy. Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, or a related field. - Over 10 years of experience at leading investment banks or technology corporations. - Proven expertise in leading IPO processes, with a successful track record in M&A transactions (including pre- and post-investment management) and US stock listings. - Experience as a CFO or Chief Investment Officer in US-listed fintech companies is highly preferred. - Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong influence, and negotiation skills. - Possess a global mindset and cross-cultural leadership capabilities. Employment Details - OPay is considering engaging a third-party agency for local employment in the US. - Note: OPay does not currently have a legal entity in the US, but Kunlun Group does. The CFO role will be hired under OPay. Work Location - If based in the US, the candidate can work from home approximately 60-70% of the time and will be required to work in the OPay Singapore office for about 30-40% of the time.
