Lead the design, launch, and scale of the Jameel Mobility Academy as a global capability-building platform and competitive advantage for ALJ and its dealer network, with a strong focus on AI-enabled auto retail and digital transformation.
This is a brand-new initiative to improve succession and long-term strategy within the mobility structure. Based in China, the Academy will attract, train, certify, and develop early-career talent across technical, EV, digital mobility, aftersales, and commercial functions to support international expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the strategy, vision, and operating model for the Jameel Mobility Academy.
- Design and deliver executive education programs for dealer principals, GMs, and senior retail leaders.
- Lead partnerships with top business schools, universities, technical institutes, and technology partners in China and globally.
- Shape a blended learning model across online, on-campus, and in-dealership immersion with clear business outcomes.
- Link learning outcomes to dealer KPIs such as sales conversion, customer experience, aftersales, productivity, and inventory performance.
- Curate content on AI, digital retail, data, governance, leadership, EV technology, smart mobility, connected vehicles, and aftersales operations.
- Act as the external face of the Academy with partners, faculty, and senior stakeholders.
- Build governance, budget oversight, and success metrics for the Academy.
- Build a sustainable talent pipeline through partnerships with universities, technical institutes, and automotive training centers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Extensive automotive industry experience, including at least 5 years in Learning & Development, Technical Training, or Academy management.
- Strong experience within a Chinese automotive OEM or major automotive organization.
- Experience building graduate, apprentice, or young professional development programs preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working across international markets.
- Strong strategic vision with hands-on execution capability.
- Passion for youth development, mentoring, and long-term capability building.
- Proven leadership in Learning & Development, Technical Training, or Corporate Academy establishment.
- Mandarin and English required.
