General Manager (Singapore) Job Description Qualifications & Experience - Relevant managerial, sales, IT, and process abilities, supported by academic education (Master’s degree or equivalent). - Extensive practical experience (10+ years) within the IT consultancy sector, with a strong understanding of Life Science customers’ needs and expectations for professional IT services. - Practical managerial and leadership experience (5-8+ years). - Experience communicating at the management level. - Experience working in different cultures. - Supplementary education and extensive management experience across multiple business areas. - Applies extraordinary expertise across functions or areas of business. Responsibilities General Management - Manage team in Singapore, taking consolidated, overriding business responsibility for the company. - Serve as a member of the company VP-Group, collaborating with other management colleagues to ensure the company achieves its strategic objectives and financial goals. - Build and maintain client relationships, including marketing the company to potential clients, preparing proposals and agreements, and managing ongoing client relationships. Market Development - Responsible for managing all operations within Singapore, including profit, revenue, cash, and targets. - Develop a successful commercial development strategy for the country. - Drive both new business and current account growth through business development research and sales initiatives. - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking practices, and participating in professional societies. - Monitor the effectiveness of marketing programs against key performance indicators and provide regular reports on results and progress. Financial Management - Define and implement annual budget plans and forecasts, providing regular reports to headquarters. - Ensure accurate financial reporting requirements are met. - Manage costs within the assigned budget. Human Resource Management - Recruit and manage staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring, and training as needed. - Identify, maintain, and develop relationships with customers, government agencies, professional organizations, and employees. - Enforce ethical business practices. Impact - Define strategy and business plans aligned with the company’s vision and strategic goals. - Responsible for budget and contributes to the overall business development of the company. - Create results that significantly affect the company’s business outcomes. Communication - Communicate with customers and external partners, often involving complex communication and negotiation. - Convince external parties with different perspectives and interests. Innovation - Analyze complex issues and improve methods, concepts, techniques, or processes across areas of work or functions. - Drive innovation based on input from others and personal experience. Knowledge - Long higher education (Master’s degree) with supplementary education. - Minimum 8+ years of work experience. - Extensive management experience in multiple business areas. - Extraordinary expertise applied across functions or areas of business.
