Job Description: Overseas Logistics & Warehouse Specialist
Job Responsibilities
- Supplier Sourcing & Management
- Source, evaluate, and onboard logistics suppliers across overseas regions.
- Establish partnerships with freight forwarders, container and breakbulk shipping carriers, destination port customs brokers, temporary warehousing, and last-mile delivery providers.
- Build and dynamically maintain an approved supplier list.
- Resource Integration & Contract Negotiation
- Lead the integration of overseas logistics resources to meet project delivery schedules and cost control targets.
- Ensure a competitive and stable supplier pool.
- Participate actively in tendering, negotiation, and contract signing for regional logistics service providers.
- Develop tailored logistics procurement solutions for projects in different regions and of various types, balancing delivery efficiency, cost, and operational risks.
- Delivery Risk Identification & Control
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in international logistics procurement, such as shipping delays, port congestion, and policy changes.
- Formulate emergency plans to guarantee reliable and flexible project delivery.
- Cost Accounting & Management
- Participate in logistics cost estimation during the project bidding phase, providing professional and accurate data to support quotations.
- Implement refined management and strategic optimization during project execution to control and reduce overall logistics costs.
- Inventory Management
- Proficiently operate Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory structure, identify slow-moving and aged stock, and assist in developing and implementing disposal plans.
- Respond to order and inventory inquiries from internal teams, including Sales, Planning, and Delivery.
- Handle abnormal orders such as damaged goods, incorrect shipments, and shortages; submit timely reports and follow up on resolutions.
- Compile daily operational data, including inbound and outbound records, inventory status, and on-time delivery rate.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Cost Estimation for Bidding
- Calculate end-to-end logistics costs during project bidding.
- Provide accurate cost data to support reasonable pricing and secure project awards.
- In-Process Cost Control
- Optimize logistics solutions and negotiate rates with suppliers during transportation.
- Reduce logistics expenses and manage total costs effectively.
Job Requirements
- Education Background
- Full-time bachelor’s degree or above from key universities.
- Majors in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, English, or related fields are preferred.
- Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in overseas warehousing, international logistics, or procurement management.
- Experience in new energy sectors (energy storage, photovoltaic, wind power), power equipment, or large-scale engineering projects is highly preferred.
- Professional Skills
- Skilled in office software and WMS; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Experienced in oversized cargo transport, special vehicle operation, multimodal transportation of hazardous goods, overseas warehousing, and on-site logistics planning for projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle unexpected issues.
- Language & Communication Competence
- Fluent in English for seamless business and technical communication; proficiency in other foreign languages is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of team management and resource alignment.
- Strong capabilities in supplier negotiation, contract administration, and strategic procurement are preferred.
