Responsibilities:
- Act as a valued business partner to the organization.
- Provide legal advice to relevant business units and senior management.
- Review, negotiate, and advise on a diverse range of legal agreements and arrangements, including:
- Venture capital investments
- Share sales and purchases
- Restructurings
- Listings
- Custody, funding, and brokerage arrangements
- Advise on regulatory matters affecting the business.
- Provide support on strategic initiatives, such as new business structures.
- Liaise with external counsel as required.
- Collaborate with legal counsel in other Susquehanna offices.
Requirements:
- Holder of a current practising certificate in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, India, or the UK.
- 4–5 years’ post-admission experience gained at international law firms.
- Experience from relevant client secondments is highly regarded.
- Exceptional negotiation and drafting skills.
- Strong knowledge of corporations law, securities law, and corporate governance.
- Experience with transaction documentation for Southeast Asian or Indian venture capital investments.
- Transaction structuring experience is highly regarded.
- Strong commercial sense with the ability to provide nuanced, pragmatic, and commercially sound legal advice.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Prior in-house experience is not required; candidates transitioning from private practice are encouraged to apply.
